WordPress: How to Publish a Blog Post

Follow these easy steps to publish your blog post.

Here is a quick summary of the steps.  For more detailed and illustrated steps, see below.

1. Sign in to your WordPress account.
2. Add Title and Content in the Quick Draft section; click Save Draft
3. Select ‘Posts’ on the left panel.
4. Hover on the new Draft post, and click ‘Edit’.
5. On the right panel, choose the correct Category, and upload the Featured Image.
6. Edit the post further if desired with images, etc.
7. SEO (optional)
   1. Focus Keyphrase – enter title of post
   2. Click ‘Edit Snippet’, and enter short summary in the ‘Meta Description’ box
   3. In the right panel, under ‘Excerpt’, enter the short summary here as well.
8. Preview your post (top right ‘Preview’ button)
9. Publish your post when you’re happy with it (top right blue button). Click Publish twice.
